DecSoft (In thread: "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window". A possible bug?)

Hello Joshua,

Various things to consider here! First of all, I can't reproduce the problem with the steps you refer... or I try it in the wrong way. But I can imagine what the problem can be... however, probably Firerfox is not related sir, since they are "out of the scope" of App Builder. If the problem is really anoying for you (I work with AB every day with a large application and not experiment any problem, well... I try to fix it everytime I find one, as you can see in the program's history file), please, and, for the love of God, can you provide here a video capture? Then I can try again try reproduce the problem Joshua and then try to fix it! Sorry for all possible inconveniences.

DecSoft (In thread: "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window". A possible bug?)

Hello Joshua,

I am sorry, but, I can't reproduce a problem like that here with the provided information: I commonly open more than one app, working on it, etc. So can you reproduce the error? What steps I must follow in order to try to reproduce it here?

DecSoft (In thread: App samples - not all searchable)

Hello Samuel,

+100 ;) Thank you David :)

Please, upgrade your AB copy. The samples dialog editbox filter in the current release searchs now also for the samples file names in addition with the samples description or design comment. Always thanks you Samuel!

DecSoft (In thread: App samples - not all searchable)

Hello Samuel,

Certainly, the samples dialog filter looks into the samples' description / design comment and not in the sample's names, and, since the "languages" word do not appear in the Languages sample (yes, in the next release) you can't find it using that word. Maybe I can also search including the app samples' names. Anyway, it's a good idea to take a look around the samples folder, using the "Explore" button of the samples dialog, for example.

Hello Joshua,

after testing, this occurs when I open more than a AB project simultaneously

How you does to open more than one AB projects simultaneously?

DecSoft (In thread: "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window". A possible bug?)

Hello Joshua,

Certainly such error is a more or less common in native Windows apps like App Builder, however, I can't reproduce the problem here nor hear something about in the past. Can you reproduce the problem everytime? Can you please refer here how? Then I will try to fix it.

DecSoft (In thread: Dear Friends)

Hello edunt!

Welcome back again! :)

DecSoft (In thread: Can I call other control's Event?)

Hello Joshua,

Please, take a look at the "External" app sample, and, particularly to the "Button2" "Click" event. Take also a look at the External Javascript tutorial.

DecSoft (In thread: can the menu move along with the mouse scroll down the view?)
excellent!Thanks you very much!

You're welcome sir! :)

DecSoft (In thread: can the menu move along with the mouse scroll down the view?)

Hello Joshua,

Yes; apparently the same "trick" can be used with a DropDown button in the same scenario. Take a look at the below sample:

FixedMenu.ab

However, this time we set the "position = fixed" to certain CSS class... and maybe this can interfere in some others DropDown controls.

DecSoft (In thread: can the menu move along with the mouse scroll down the view?)

Hello Joshua,

Thanks. Finally I think I got it. Please, loot at the below attached sample:

FixedContainer.ab

Press the first top button and you can see a Menu. Scroll down the app's view and now the Menu continues there. The "trick" is made by set the "position = fixed" to the Menu, as you can see in the sample's "Inline CSS" option. Hope this can help you in some way.

P.S. Anyway, consider to use an entire view for menus. Some menus can be implemented like that and for sure its a good way to do it, showing the "menu" view as a dialog or not.

DecSoft (In thread: can the menu move along with the mouse scroll down the view?)

Hello Joshua,

I am not sure if attach an "scroll" event to the "window" can be good here. Anyway, can you see what "[ButtonTop]" and "[ButtonLeft]" store? When the menu is shown? When is hide? Honestly I can't figure out exactly what you wanted, I am sorry for that.

Can you please provide here a little app sample so we can take a look?

DecSoft (In thread: can the menu move along with the mouse scroll down the view?)

Hello Joshua,

Certainly something like the below (placed in the view's Show event) do not work as expected:

Can you provide here a little app sample sir? Maybe with a bit of CSS we can get the menu acting like you wanted.

DecSoft (In thread: can the menu move along with the mouse scroll down the view?)

Hello Joshua,

What about to use a Dropdown or Select controls instead a Menu one? Anyway, right now we have no "scroll" events, but we can use "pure" Javascript to attach some app's function to some possible "scroll" event of the app's view. Take a look a this article and please tell me if you have any further questions.

DecSoft (In thread: Material Design in App Builder?)

Hello tin,

Certainly we can try it. In fact I remember I try that theme in the past... The problem with that theme is they requires some Javascript stuff too, and, in my tests (if I did not remember bad) finally I can't get it working as expected. But of course you can try it and ask for help here if you find some specific problem!
